How To Have An Incredible Day In Newport News

I don’t have to tell you how easy it is to have a great time in Newport News. However, you just may be unsure of how to make the perfect day. With so much to see and do in the area, it is easy to get sidetracked and lose some great opportunities. Many people just head off to Virginia Beach or Williamsburg. While those are great locations, there is plenty to see and do right in your own backyard.

It is best to get up early in the morning and head on over to Huntington Park Beach. This is a great location to go early in the day before the crowds get too much to handle, the same is true for the heat and the sun! Take some time to wade in the water, have breakfast on the beach or just play in the sand. Once the sun starts to rise or the crowds come pouring in, it is time to head on over to the Virginia Living Museum.

Most parents know it is next to impossible to get kids into a museum on their own. Most of the time it takes some bribery or trickery. None of that will be needed as they head into the Virginia Living Museum. Here they will come face to face with red wolves, huge turtles, and even some prehistoric dinosaurs. It is a great place to go to get out of the sun, especially hanging out in the aquarium. Grab some lunch and relax while the kids spend some time learning without realizing it!

By this point the kids will be winding down, why not head out for an incredible dinner. There are far too many incredible area restaurants to focus on just one. However, we suggest looking into a local seafood place for a dinner you will not soon forget! The area has some of the finest seafood on the Eastern seaboard, s please be sure to take advantage of it. After dinner, simply stop in one of the area’s state of the art theaters and catch one of Hollywood’s biggest hits.

You will find that Newport News offers so much that you will have to come back. In fact, many families find themselves coming back to us on a yearly basis, consider it a family tradition. We look forward to welcoming you to our incredible city and hope for many happy returns!
